American Beauty was and still is a long term project to understand popular culture from a female perspective while retaining certain aspects of the reality that I am a man.  The images you see in the gallery represent a fundamental misunderstanding of how a girl in the age range of about sophmore in undergraduate studies could become invested in the images seen before them, in this case specifically from an American Cheerleader magazine.  Included in this is my research of mass media and a list of every single movie or television show that I watched while this project was underway in the summer of 2010.
