Sam D. Rivers was born in New York City in 1985. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism Mass Communication from Lynn University in 2008, specializing in Film Studies and Cinematography.  He has worked in radio management, and is a contributing writer and photographer for Dan’s Paper, of Bridgehampton, NY. He works as a freelance photographer; his work has been featured on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of NYC,”  as well as on the front page of Hamptons.com. Sam has also worked for such high end publications as Elle Magazine and Vanity Fair as a contributing photographer, and while his work lies mostly within the rhelm of commercial photography he tends to call himself a artist referencing the inherent creative need that both performative actions take in the creation of an image.

Sam lives in Boca Raton, Florida He travels frequently throughout the U.S. to photograph in a variety of natural landscapes and is critically acclaimed for his freelance special event photography. His most recent work involves flight and the childhood thought processes behind flight.

Sam is occasionally available for hire as a contract event photographer, however this is on a limited basis, for more info contact him with your idea (no wedding photography please!)
